Island Treasures: The Amelia Island Lighthouse

We love this island and all of the treasures it holds! One of the hidden gems of Amelia is the lighthouse.

The Amelia Island lighthouse is the oldest standing lighthouse in Florida, and the westernmost lighthouse on the east coast of the United States. It originally stood on Cumberland Island, and was moved to its current location brick by brick in 1839. It stands on the highest point on the island, and is still functional today. The Amelia Island lighthouse is but one island treasure you can view from the water on our Sea Life guided kayak tour!
